Winning the lottery

All my life I have wanted to win a lottery. I have fantasized about the car’s I would buy, the large house with a garden that would be mine. I haven’t won one yet.

Is it even possible that over the past thirty of forty years that the fantasy came alive in my mind I have not won the jackpot yet. Come on…lady luck should have smiled on my by now. I must be doing something wrong…

Turns out…I am. I think the sum total of all the lottery tickets that I have ever bought in my life is about 25. That’s less that one for each year of my fantasy.

There are really only two ways to analyze this…

Start buying lottery tickets regularly so that the law of averages can catch up and I can start winning. As I write this I have been thinking (fantasizing) about how I can setup a weekly automatic purchase of a lottery ticket. And along with that I have been thinking about how I can setup a software means of checking up if my ticket has won so that I will get a notification when I do. Damn software techies…

OR

I can realize that I’m really enjoying the fantasy, and focus on that…

But most likely I will do what the typical individual who suffers from a huge case of FOMO and does. BOTH!
