Bubby and saket had an interesting fun-filled evening. Actually they fought like cats and dogs…
While coming back from saatchi’s gym class bubby let it be known to her firstborn son…
“I am going to make a new bhaji.”
Saket woefully agreed to eat it. and surmised…
“For the next two years I am going to be throwing up!”
“Why, Two years!”
“He said, “Everyday I am going to be trying a new bhaji!”
Then it got to dinner time and it got better…or should I say bitter!
Bubby challenged saket…”You have to eat it otherwise no dinner!”
First he said yes, then when he saw the bhaji he refused to eat it…
For the un-initiated bhaji means vegetables. Now what is it about kids and vegetables that makes everybody remember dennis the menace.
He was instantly banished to his room.
Then came the discussion that his report card was coming tomorrow.
Saket gleefully said…”I am going to get two gifts this year, one for my birthday and one for my report card!”
My hungry son said… “If you give me food, I will get good grades!”
“Lets do this…I will give you food, but tomorrow when you get your report card you wont get a gift!”
“No! No! No! No! No! I want my gift”
two hours later…10:40pm our dreary eyed, hungry brat was hungry and came out (after some cajoling from ajji!”) and ate one bhaji. Methi nu Bhaji…
And liked it… his parting shot after his stomach was full and he headed to bed…
he gave a loud burp, and said “Even my butt agreed with the bhaji!”
